Description

This position is responsible for the management of all operations in the hangar and on the ramp. In addition, this position is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all facility maintenance. Line Service Manager is also responsible for aircraft movements related to towing, parking, and fueling and marshalling while ensuring safe and secure operations at all times.  Line Service interacts with clients on a regular basis and requires exemplary customer service skills.   This position is responsible and accountable for the overall safety, quality, security and effectiveness of this department in conjunction with the VP of Flight Services and Priester Aviation.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports, promotes and complies with the goals and objectives of Priester Aviation’s Safety Management system and Quality Management System.
  • Manage company and aircraft stock.
  • Plan and coordinate general facility refurbishments and maintenance.
  • Manage facility projects as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate with facility service providers.
  • General handy work as needed (dry wall patching, hang pictures, fix door knobs, etc.)
  • Ensure all ground service equipment is clean and in working order.
  • Keep detailed and organized logs of all work completed.
  • Ensure the appearance of hangar and floors are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Fuel aircraft via underground storage tank cabinet.
  • Plan aircraft parking in hangar and on ramp effectively.
  • Tow, marshal, and wing walk aircraft safely and effectively.
  • Assist passengers with baggage and load luggage onto aircraft.
  • Make sure that all client vehicles are clean before clients return, interior and exterior.
  • Make sure that all aircraft are clean, stocked, and ready for their next flight.
  • Undergo yearly NATA Safety1st and on the job training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Required or Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years Line Service experience (preferred)
  • 2 years aircraft towing experience (preferred)
  • Experience working with basic hand tools (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to perform normal office duties
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team work and ability to jump in and help others or other departments is mandatory.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and operate a man lift.
  • Physical activities associated with line service duties describe herein.
  • Ability to work in adverse conditions on the ramp and in hangar.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Appearance is clean and professional.
  • Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Responds promptly to customer needs; Responds to requests for service and assistance.
